Did Your 2023 Get Interrupted?

Did Your 2023 Get Interrupted?

Mine did. I stumbled on some uneven concrete steps while heading to a sports event on June 16, and ended up meeting the ground rather abruptly. Sounds like a long time ago, but in many ways it was just yesterday.  I’ve recently been released from my months of therapies which helped me learn to walk again. Yes, I lost the ability to walk, but thanks to some wonderful people, I’m back on my feet—literally and back into my routine.

What have I learn?

Women involved in ministry, like I am with my Ladies, www.InHisFaithfulness.com, and www.InHisRest.com, often are the ones others turn to for support, guidance, and strength. We lift others up, we hold things together, and we keep going even when we're running on fumes. But sometimes life throws us off balance, quite literally in my case, and we need to find our own sanctuary for healing and renewal. That's what my journey has taught me.

Through this experience, I learned that it’s okay to lean on others. I am blessed with a very supportive husband and family as well as a network of compassionate therapists and friends who were there for me every step of the way. It was their encouragement and kindness that helped me take those first shaky steps towards recovery. It made me realize how important it is to have a community that holds you up when you feel like you can’t stand any longer on your own two feet.

I recognize the sacrifices you may be taking right now and the pressures you may be facing. That's why this page is here:  to offer you a place of rest, to breathe and read, to ponder and to connect with others who understand what you're going through. I believe in the power of community. I am here to walk with you as you take the time to heal, reflect, and renew your spirit.

I also discovered the importance of embracing vulnerability. Although I may feel like I need to be strong at all times, the real strength comes in admitting when I need help, when I need to slow down, and when I need to give myself grace.  Be honest with yourself and others, find comfort in shared stories, and experience the peace that comes with knowing you're not alone.

Finally, I was reminded of the beauty of hope. No matter how hard the journey, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. My recovery wasn't easy, but with each step I took, I felt more empowered.  You, too, can be empowered through the Presence of God in your life. I know what it’s like to walk through challenging times. I seek to be a guide who brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep sense of compassion to every interaction.

Listen for God’s peace and be encouraged on your journey towards spiritual growth and renewal.

If your 2023 got interrupted, remember that you're not alone. There's a place for you to rest, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.

Now, it is already MAY!  So what are you going to do TODAY to make this year, this month, this week, this day and this MOMENT extraordinary and wonderful?!

Remember God is always Faithful even in the rough days and weeks and months!

Throughout the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed.  Because His compassions fail not.  They are new every morning, Great is Your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:22-23
