Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great
and unsearchable things you do not know.
Every day most of us pick up our mobile phone to call family or friends. We send text messages back and forth to communicate with others individually and in group texts.
We answer our phone when it rings, or buzzes, or sends a notification. Many people today “live by their phones.” It has their contacts, but even more so it has all their connections and calendar of events. We set alarms for places we need to be or items we need to accomplish. We set timers for jam-sessions or intense time constraints for business and pleasure.
The “latest and greatest” news is available at our fingertips. You are connected to people in your home, around the corner in the neighborhood and around the world. WOW! There can be so much excitement right in your hand.
But when you loose service, or you “drop a call” no matter what your current service promises about coverage, it can be devastating to your day.
What would your life be like if you never lost service? If you were connected to a power source 24/7? If you were always connected to the most important information and could get up-to-the-minute news and service?
God, the Creator of the Universe, the Almighty Himself, has a phone number that is always available! In the Scriptures you can read in Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.
Stop, reconnect to God. (If you’ve never connected to Him, He is waiting for you to respond to His nudge in your heart and mind. Just call out to Him and then listen.) He is ready and waiting for your every word and every desire to be heard. He wants to overwhelm you with His Presence, His Touch, His Power, His Sovereignty, His Faithfulness, His Goodness, and His Love. He knows what is happening with you and your family and your friends. He cares about every detail in their lives as well as the details in your life. He will answer when you call. His line never goes to voicemail. He wants to forgive you for all your sins and short comings. He wants to give you new life for today. He wants to help you make your appointments for the day. He has a plan already waiting for you, and He knows what is best for you.
He is already connected to the entire world. By the way, He is the Creator of the universe. His children are spread out in every country on this earth. He knows where you need to go and why you need to be there. He longs, deeply desires, for each of us to call on Him all day long.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, Pray without ceasing. That means always be in an attitude of prayer. In other words, be aware of God’s connection to you every moment of every day. Then as His “phone number” says, “I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”
1 Peter 5:6-7, Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, casting all your cares on Him, because He cares about you.
Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your wellbeing, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. You will call to me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you search for me with all your heart. I will be found by you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“and I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the actions and places where I banished you”—this is the Lord’s declaration. “I will restore you to the place from which I deported you.”
Whew! I’m so glad I’m connected to the King of Kings and He is connected to me! Pick up your phone and call today—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (the Trinity) is waiting for You to answer their call.
